Sligo House 1

Renovation and extension of 1960s bungalow. The house had generous sized living room with some original fixtures and fittings from the 60s. The house was extended to accommodate a new kitchen and sitting area for a young family.

The front of the house is south facing. In the design light was borrowed from this side by connecting the front sitting room and new family with sliding pocketing glazed doors. This also allowed for maximum flexibility when using the house.

The ceiling of the new extension follows the roof line to create a light airy room. Rooflights bring south light into the new family area. New doors and windows open the house to the large rear garden.
